I am pondering the notion of adding (optional) default File and VLDB
Server Preferences to the registry. The simplist concept would be a
static list:

	HKLM\SOFTWARE\OpenAFS\Client\ServerPrefs\VLDB
	HKLM\SOFTWARE\OpenAFS\Client\ServerPrefs\File

in which each entry consists of:

	REG_SZ 	"hostname" = "ranking"

I could also imagine a scheme which extends this to include:

	HKLM\SOFTWARE\OpenAFS\Client\ServerPrefs\VLDB\<ip-address>
	HKLM\SOFTWARE\OpenAFS\Client\ServerPrefs\File\<ip-address>

in which if your IP address matches, then the initial values would be
loaded from the subkey. The only problem I see with this is that the
machine's ip-address might not be available when the afs client service
starts.

I would appreciate the thoughts from the peanut gallery.
