OpenAFS 1.3.8200 is about to be released. For Windows there are two
additional errors fixed which could result in the premature termination
of the afsd_service.exe. In addition, the following changes are included:

* The AFS Explorer Shell Extension no longer lists the "Mount Point ->
Remove" menu is only available if the selected items include at least
one mount point.

* The function used to obtain the list of IP addresses for reporting to
the AFS RPC peer has been fixed to ensure that the version provided by
Windows is used whenever possible instead of the home grown version.

* Tom Keiser's RX thread optimizations have been incorporated. These
patches allow the client's performance to scale with the number of CPUs
added to the machine. If you have numerous operations occurring
simultaneously and you are not already network bound, these changes will
help.

* Another attempt at fixing the problem OAFW has with multi-domain
forest cross-realm trusts. If you logon to a Windows machine in a
Active Directory leaf domain using a Kerberos principal mapped to an
account in a 2003 Active Directory forest root, you will still not be
able to use roaming profiles but you can now access AFS from the login
script and during the session.

The development builds are labeled with the date 20050427 and can be

These builds have been stress tested with MIT's torture test.
