Stable (1.8.x)
==============

* Stephan has prepared 1.8.9pre1

* NEWS file to be finalized and then Stephan will
  request Ben to make a tag for the release.

* 14903 pulled up to 1.8.x branch in gerrit for review:

14903 LINUX: Use bitwise & for f_flags test


Development (1.9.x/master)
==========================

* Patches for AIX 6.1 support submitted by Ben Huntsman
  (thank you Ben Huntsman).

* Patches to avoid fileserver deadlock submitted and then
  updated by Mark Vitale.

* Changes to support linux 6.0 in progress.  May be
  ready in time for 1.8.9, but we will not block 1.8.9
  on it.
