I learned that you want LibOFX to be a generic layer for import/export of 
files. 
I did the same (resulting in AqBanking and multiple banking backends, 
importers and country/bank info plugins), so I know what you are talking 
about.

But that's not the issue: If you want to create a new low level API (which 
there currently is IMHO, but that's where we differ), how do you want it to 
look like ? 
And don't you think this is too much work just to avoid adding three fields 
which are generally used across multiple applications and importers (and 
which are known through SWIFT documentation, and, on top of that are already 
available but obscured by LibOFX)?
