Do you mean in configure scripts or in RPM packages?

In configure scripts I just check for the member "brokerId" in "struct 
OfxAccountInfo" (because I know that you added it just before the release of 
0.8.0, so if that struct contains this member then it must be 0.8.0 or 
better).

However, maybe it would be best if LibOfx provided a means to check for the 
version of an installed Libofx (either by providing an m4-file, a pkg-config 
description file or a libofx-config script).

In Gwen, AqBanking and Libchipcard we use a combination of m4-file and 
config-script. This approach works well for us, but pkg-config might be 
easier to setup...
