AFAIK, I have libxml++ installed. This from my original post:

hb3 pkgconfig # pwd
/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig
hb3 pkgconfig # ls -la

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 252 Jul 12 21:09 libxml-2.0.pc

If libxml++-1.0.5 with the ln -s to libxml++-1.0 does not work, then I don't 
know where to actually get v-1.0.
