GnuTLS is not a full replacement for OpenSSL: OpenSSL contains much more (e.g. 
libcrypto, ASN library etc). So even with its compatibility layer you can't 
just replace OpenSSL by GnuTLS, you would also have to replace the crypto 
stuff (e.g. by GCrypt, but that library has a completely different API so we 
would have to rewrite our crypto stuff in AqBanking/Gwenhywfar).

Of course I respect your opinion but I don't quite see how not granting the 
licence exeption does help development of Open Source software... As it seems 
it currently hinders the distribution of precompiled packages which could use 
LibOFX but are prevented from doing so due to the lack of this exception...
