Prefixing the ticker symbol with MUTF: made no difference. Is this extension using a web API for requesting the historical data from Google or is the extension just parsing the HTML returned from http://www.google.com/finance/historical?q=MUTF:SPECX or http://www.google.com/finance/historical?q=NASDAQ:AAPL? Perhaps the URL for requesting historical data has changed since the extension was released?

For the record the extension is configured to use the "default" exchange for all stocks and mutual funds I have in Moneydance. The exact error message displayed by this extension is as follows:

Ticker Symbol: SPECX
History: Received response code 404 and message 'Not Found'

Kevin N. - that's an older version, the newest one should be available via

that page soon, or leave it as just documentation and not allow downloading
the extension from it.

Steve - whether or not Google sends the data for mutual funds to Moneydance
is the main issue. If Google sends the data, Moneydance should be able to
import it no problem. So whether or not the issue with the particular mutual
funds you're attempting to download is fixable by the Quotes and Exchange
Rates extension comes down to what exactly the error is. If the error is
you're getting data from Google but the extension can't parse it, that's
fixable. If no data is being sent from Google, there's not much that can be
done.

There's a test mode available in the dialog by clicking the "Advanced >>"
label. When in test mode, you can try different settings and symbols to see
if you can configure the extension in such a way as to get a successful
test. As one example, you may (or may not) get improvement by adding a
"MUTF:" prefix to your mutual fund symbol, as Google sometimes uses that.

Good luck!
