OS X - Java Deprecated. Moneydance future?

With Apple deprecating Java on OS X, I'm quite concerned about Moneydance's future on that platform. Can a version be created with a self-contained version of Java that will run as a stand-alone? Or does anyone have experience running Moneydance in WINE (e.g., Crossover). I suppose I could go back to using a full VM, but I hate to waste the space on a full VM install on my SDD.
