The justification that Apple (Jobs) is giving for deprecating Java on OS

transition than deprecating Java? I also wonder how much work Oracle can

"integrated" than "current" at this point in Java's lifecycle. Take a 
look at a Java app on Linux to see how bad it can get without that 
integration.

A more immediate effect of the deprecation comes from Apple's position 
that applications based on deprecated interfaces (explicitly including 
Java) will be banned from Apple's app store when it opens in a few 
months. That's a pretty unfriendly thing to do to developers who have 
supported Apple for so long.
