'Description' entry selection has changed.

I recently updated to version 757 and found, what I perceived to be a 
glitch, in the way we could select previous 'Description' entries. I use 
Windows XP mostly with a mouse. In the past I could enter a partial 
description, click on the marker to the right and get a list of prior 
entries that match. I could then find the description I like, select it 
and that would be it, along with the matching category. Now, the list 
appears but only as long as the mouse button is depressed. The moment I 
release it to make my selection, the list disappears, leaving me with 
whatever description happened to be selected at the time the button was 
released. Very annoying and time consuming to go back and fix. The same 
thing happens with the 'Check Number' field.
While I'm on the subject, the 'Category' selection still works like it 
used to; here it would be nice if the category I was looking for would 
come up in the middle of the list instead of the bottom. Would that be 
possible?
