Several MD issues that have bugged me a bit

Currently using MD 2011 (790) with OS X 10.6.7, though these issues were also present in MD 2010, IIRC. Here's a focus problem that occurs when adding a new security: After selecting my investment account, I click Add Security in the Securities Detail panel. For some reason, this takes me to the Account Info for the first security already in my data file, where I have to click on the New Security button to open the New Security window on top of the Account Info window (seems like Add Security should take me to New Security directly, but I digress). After I fill out the New Security fields and click OK, the New Security window closes, and it APPEARS that the Account Info window (now with the new security selected) is the foreground window. Its title bar has changed to dark-gray, though no fields seem to be selected. I can see that the Add Security button in the main MD window (which is lurking behind the Account Info window) has a blue highlight. Sure enough, if I tap the TAB key, it cycles among the main window controls, even though the Account Info window originally spawned the New Security window and has the title bar highlight of the active window (the main MD window does not). Typing CMD-` twice (command-backquote, the standard Mac combo to cycle between the windows of the foreground app) takes the focus to the main window and then back to the Account Info window (as does clicking in one its fields). At this point, the Account Info window has keyboard focus. When I dismiss the New Security window, the keyboard focus should drop back to the Security Info window, not to the main window. Another issue: When using the search textbox at the top left of the main window, I would like to be able to press ESC to clear the search, rather than being forced to click on the X. That's the way Spotlight works, and other similar search textboxes. -Gordon -- Gordon Alley http://www.gordonalley.com http://facebook.com/gordonalley http://twitter.com/gordonalley http://www.linkedin.com/in/gordonalley
