I wouldn't be duplicating it, I'd have something send out a daily digest.

It may well be that us digest readers are the small minority, certainly
the only people interested in the subject list would be people who
get the digest now.

It would be only one message a day, a lot less than I've seen on the
forum Email.  (I have that set up to EMail me about each new discussion.)

I wouldn't do manually, I'd write a program that runs once a day, picks
through the new forum discussions and prints the URL, Subject line, and maybe the author.  Currently that isn't available automatically, near as I can tell.

That would be fine by me.  I'd probably forget I was subscribed to it.

The format I had in mind would be a line or two per new post - URL,
subject line, maybe the author.

I'll just fashion something together from Emails for my own used.  Useful enough for me, not useful enough to be sent out.
