Searching for "memo" on the infinitekind forum, I find that many 
users have had problems of various kinds with memos. This is not even 
counting the ongoing discussion of how to improve descriptions and 
memos in splits. I would suggest bumping your thread -- a month is 
far too long to wait for a response. A week is reasonable, especially 
if it's in Problems or Questions.

I don't download so I can't speak for specific problems in that area.

One thing I do see mentioned is that for most transactions, you can 
edit the memo only if you are on the "original side", that it's 
locked when you are on the "other side". I don't know whether this 
could be related.
