Edward,
Along the same lines, on a Mac, what if I create a Network, this is different that share my internet, this would be create a wireless network (WLAN) would that mean my computer and iphone would then be 'on the same network' regardless of whether there was internet or not? I know I can do this to use my iphone as a 'mouse' when there is no internet, perhaps that is setup different.
