I got sidetracked into getting de.po updated but was working on this earlier and didn't get it finished yet. Basically, you want to have the new FontForge have higher version values than the old 20120731-b FontForge so that the new FontForge executable links to the new library instead of the old one. I won't have time to look at it until the end of the week, but if you want to take a poke at finishing it up before then, then go ahead. This is a start and I think I've covered all the libraries, but have not checked for sure yet: https://github.com/fontforge/fontforge/commits/master?page=2 ...and you follow a similar pattern as used in libuninameslist or libspiro. You can use them as a guide to finish this versioning bug-fix: Look at Makefile.am here (around UN_VERSION & FR_VERSION) and around configure.ac around code that refers to VERSION: https://github.com/fontforge/libuninameslist/commit/99831884bf3114bb3c684c001f9c47325b6177c1 configure.ac version example: https://github.com/fontforge/libspiro/commit/a053a163549c2c359c17b842dfc93e33c97ae636 Once you got configure.ac and the several Makefile.am files (because FontForge has several libraries) resolved, you should be able to run the new Fontforge even if you have installed the old FontForge from a past install. Additionally, I think you can extinguish several github issues complaining about this problem when the new FontForge is installed while the old Fontforge still exists on your system. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rapidly troubleshoot problems before they affect your business.
