Has anyone tried the various instructions to eliminate the confusing
valgrind output due to Python, by building Python from source to use malloc
and then using the Valgrind suppression information supplied in the Python
source release?

The idea is to build a side copy of Python set up to *not* confuse Valgrind
by not using its own memory allocator, and then build FontForge from that,
and _then_ get clean output from Valgrind by specifying additional
silencing suppression info.
