I haven't done this. It seems like a lot of trouble, and I've addressed all
of the visible bad accesses for now. Leaks remain of course. In place of
suppressing spurious Valgrind output, I've been using a script to filter it.

If you do this and see anything interesting, though, do share. I would like
to do this for Pango at some point as well.
