As an update, I haven't seen the EPIPE case again on the embedded
side. I need to fix a few other issues blocking clean system startup
and I'll be watching for it and actively trying to reproduce it once
the startup stuff is out of the way. Probably mid next week before
I'll be back on trying to reproduce.
