Sure.  With a 1000Hz clock, we can do milli-second sleeps inside the 
server and do updates on short intervals to see how well that works.  The 
basic loop would then be:

	for (;;) {
		repaint
		queue timer event for correct interval
		flush
		await timer event && update event
	}

Should be pretty straightforward to try.
