I am having problems running gvim and xmms as a user on Xserver. Both
applications run fine when I am root. Both applications crash if I run
them from a user account. I am sure this is a stupid problem, but I
haven't been able to figure it out yet. Gvim doesn't spit out any
useful information really, the window just opens and it stalls. Xmms
doesn't even open a window an puts out the following error message:

Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
~ serial 219 error_code 8 request_code 2 minor_code 0
Gdk-ERROR **: BadFont (invalid Font parameter)
~ serial 224 error_code 7 request_code 47 minor_code 0

Any ideas?

I do run Xvesa suid root if that matters.

John
