Sometimes it happen. Probably because the PlayChoice games have always 
the upper part of the screen fixed and not scrolling. In these cases 
probably the "-S" option should not be used.

Have you tried with the "-r" option to convert the images in 256 color 
mode ?

You should use the -device_video_output option. Not svgawin_stub.
