Hi,
I'm running AdvanceMAME under Gentoo Linux, with an ArcadeVGA driving a
Hantarex 15khz monitor using svgalib.
I have got most games looking great and vsynced beautifully. However, I
am still finding it impossible to get the Mortal Kombat games to vsync. I
know they have a weird 53Hz refresh rate. Still, I'm allowing advancemame to
generate it's own modeline. My advmame.rc states my monitor's capabilities
accurately (it's basically a PAL/SCART TV) and of course sets vsync = 1.
From bash, I just type:
advmame mk
What I'm getting is a mode with precisely the correct resolution, but a 56Hz
refresh rate, and no possible vsync (according to the 'Video' menu).
Since I am using a standard res monitor and am allowing advancemame to
generate its own "perfect" modeline - how come I can't get vsync?
Am I missing something really obvious? I *think* playing MK with a
"perfect" screen mode should be within the capabilities of my setup.
Thanks in advance for any help!
