AdvanceCD on Hard Drive - Is there a way to enable High Scores?

Hello,

I have several Cabinet conversions that I have made over the years.  
I'm in the process of switching them over to Hard Disk systems based 
off of AdvanceCD.  I have everything working great with one caveat - 
AdvanceCD seems to still believe it's on a read only media and won't 
write high score data.  Is there a way to modify this?

I really like having the hardware detection and the small footprint of 
AdvanceCD, I really don't want to do a full blown linux distro.  I plan 
on using this image on several different machines (all running from 
hard drive) and don't want to have to setup linux on each of them.

Any help anyone could provide would be great.  I'm 98% there.  If I 
could add this one feature, this would be the best setup I've ever 
used.
