First of all system spec : Ubuntu Linux (debian) Athlon 1800+ advmame and advmenu configured for SDL I currently have a PS2 controller plugged-in trough the EMS joypad 2 wich lets me connect 2 controllers trough USB. I configured it with jscalibrator and everything was going well until I retried to map the keys in advmame. Before that I used a Microsoft gamepad wich worked out-of-the-box. Now, when I first fired up advmenu the thing kept scrolling down without anyindication of willing to go up. I thought it was a problem with my calibration so I installed jscalibrator to calibrate the controller and it worked quite well in the program the axis were a little confused but all in all it should've worked. Now, I fire up advmenu again and I don't get any input from the axis but the buttons work. I fire up a game and when I try to register axis controls it won't detect it (but normal buttons work). I was wondering if I messed up something so I plugged my Microsoft controller back in and calibrated it and fire up advmenu again. The problem persisted even with the controller that worked before (in MENU and MAME). I checked in jscalibrator and I think I found a possible problem. When it callibrates the axix it does so with a value from 0 to 63 on each side. That would make 128 possibilities wich is probable but I think that the programs wait for a 255 value. I tried to fix it in jscalibrator but to no avail. Anyone with any suggestions how to fix this and maybe make my controller usable too? ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
