Hello,
It is possible to use another driver rather than "fb" for device_video on advanceCD? I want advanceCD to not to tweak my video card at all, because with tweaks, It loses the svhs tv-out capability. I can always get proper tv-out from card's tv-out port, when in boot-up, bios, dos, and even windows; but NOT with advanceCD.
I guess SDL doesn't exist in advanceCD.
IF there is no other alternative then the fb driver on advanceCD, maybe I can restore the "default" reflesh rates even by messing with vclock-hclock settings. Because; when shvs cable is plugged into the Radeon, it ALWAYS outputs some varying 25-45 khz horizontal frequency(depending on the resolution), and a 50 hz veritcal frequency (svhs output is PAL since i'm in Europe). In other words; it adjusts itself automatically for the correct TV-out frequency. Doesn't matter in dos, windows etc..But as i said above; as soon as tweaking comes in to play; it is all messed up.
So, I need advanceCD to utilise a driver like SDL or VBELINE, or completely keep it from tweaking my card. In other words; avoiding "generate" drivers.
I checked the docs and saw ncurses and slang (if they are included in advanceCD). They are for text modes; but maybe they can be used as graphics drivers on advCD?
Or living with fb; but without any tweaking?
Or restoring my card to the "original" frequencies? (25-45 hclock and 50 vclock).
I tried setting vclock to 50 hz in .rc files but it didn't work (gived "no videomode for current configuration").
Please help me. I REALLY want to make this work for a long time. Thanks in advance.
