The assembler cores cannot be used on a 64 bit platform. They are only
for 32 bit systems.

Is the default configure try to using NASM  on 64 bits ? If yes, it's a bug.
Please send to my email address the file "config.log" created after
you run the "configure" script.

Anyway the next version of AdvanceMAME and AdvanceMENU will have a
better support for 64 bits system. At present there are a lot of
problems.

OK. It's expected.

No. Using FrameBuffer with SDL doesn't allow to control the video
mode. So there isn't reason to advcfg to exist in this configuration.
Anyway, if you have FrameBuffer you can use it.
