I finally got svgalib to compile and load. Advmame is now running in Linux (Hooray!!) But my problem is that when I power down, the svga devices (/dev/svga; /dev/svga1; /dev/svga2; /dev/svga3/; and /dev/svga4/) disappear. The svgalib_helper.ko module loads just fine, but I can't get my svga devices back unless I do a "make clean" then "make install" After I "make install" they reappear - -only until I shutdown and reboot again, then I have to recompile to get them back. I'm running on Mandriva Linux 2006 (2.6.12-12 kernel). Does anyone know what can be done so I don't have to recompile every time? Thanks!
