Hello Eric,
So, the big problem is not the video card compatibility, but to configure
the video with advcfg!
When I setting up the framebuffer for a 15 kHz arcade monitor, I got this
error:
"Invalid monitor specification: PAL TV (European) 5-100/15.62/50."
And advcfg crashes.
I deleted the advmame.rc file and created a new one, with default options
and started again, but I got the same error.
I don't know if I need to insert modelines at the /etc/fb.modes or at
advmame.rc instead of using advcfg utility!
When I was using svgalib, it was so easy! I just load the module, configure
the libvga.config file, configure the advcfg utility for my cab and it´s
done! Probaliby this framebuffer driver can't do low pixel clocks... Can you
give me some ideas to configure it?
I have a Geforce 6800 PCI-Express and I'm using Mandriva 2006. Of course,
without nvidia drivers and only with the nvidia framebuffer module compiled
into kernel.
Thanks!
