I'm still using 2.2, but then again, I'm still using Lyntin 3.3.1. If I
ever get around to upgrading to 4 and putting MCCP code into it, I'll just
upgrade my Python at the same time. I should really upgrade my Python
anyway, for non-Lyntin reasons.

I've been resisting upgrading to 4 for two reasons. The first is that I'd
have to redo my MCCP code to fit the new architecture.

The second reason is that I actually prefer not to install stuff like a
mud client as a site package that then has to be launched from a
wrapper script. I liked being able to just untar 3.3.1, make whatever
tweaks I needed (such as a more reasonable choice of font for the tkui)
and type "python ly<Tab key> --ui tk"

With a site package, I have to su to root so I can make little tweaks
like tk font choices. I really prefer to keep things like my mud client
loose, and not tightly stuffed into a package system, so that I have an
easier time modifying it to suit my personal quirks.

Also, I end up needing two wrapper scripts, depending on whether I wish to
use the tkui or the textui (which directly depends on whether I'm on my X
desktop or an ssh session), where with the old command line, I just
changed that one option.

I guess I'm just a neo-Luddite or something.
