CVS vs SVN doesn't really make a big difference to me, especially if
there is little, if any, development being done.  :-)  As to your points: 

* Unit tests would be great for Lyntin and its modules.  There have been
plenty of times where if I had them in Lyntin, it would have caught
problems earlier on. 
* Fix the net module?  I must have missed the message that showed it was
broken.  :-) 
* As far as a windows exe, are you just talking about using something
like py2exe to package it all up?  I would think that would be trivial,
unless I am missing something.

The "status" for me is that I still use it, on a heavy basis.  My Lyntin
client is running 24/7.  I don't really modify the Lyntin core (why
would I need too?), but I have created some modules that are very
specific to the MUD I play on.  I don't think those modules would be
very useful to most people, but I think they are pretty damm cool, and
it would certainly have been much more difficult to do in another
client, if possible at all.  I have some other modules that are not MUD
specific, that I would share if people are interested.  Some are useful,
like a module that creates an easy interface with SQLite, which is where
I keep a bunch of my data.  Some are just plain silly, like a module
that creates commands to turn your output to "Swedish Chef" or "Elmer Fudd".

As far as stuff I am interested in, mapping.  I am trying to plan a good
mapper.  All of my "room" data is stored in the above mentioned SQLite
module/database.  At some point I need to break down and figure out how
to draw a map from that data.  Any suggestions towards that goal would
be greatly appreciated.  My other "wants", I already built.  :-)

All the above being said, I would like to thank the developers of
Lyntin, both past and present, for spending the time to develop it.  It
is a great product, and was (and still is) the exact thing I was looking
for in a MUD client.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  :-)
