It worked pretty well except that I had to make code changes to remove the 
plugin system so that modules were loaded explicitly rather than the "load 
all the modules in this directory" approach.  If we were to go with that, 
then we'd end up with a distribution of Lyntin that works on USB devices, 
but is "crippled" in the sense that it doesn't allow dynamic loading of 
modules.

Incidentally, I found the other program I was interested in trying out:

I only glanced at PyInstaller, though, so I'm not sure how useful it would 
be.

Advances in Psyco and PyPy should help py2exe and PyInstaller efforst, I 
think.
