how to install gcc 16.1 on silicon mac ???

How to I configure gcc 16.1 to build a compiler (all I need is fortran), =
on a silicon mac with m4 chip running Tahoe 26.5.
No matter the options running ../configuration, when I then command =
=E2=80=9CMake=E2=80=9D I keep erroring out
with the following error message

*** Configuration aarch64-apple-darwin25.5.0 not supported
