One might. I tried Gimp on that file, and it didn't crash in the way Gramps does. And the cause seems to be that Gimp uses newer DLLs than Gramps, to read the EXIF data. This means, that in Gimp, that data simply seems empty, just like it does in Linux.

I did a Google search looking for fixes, and after skipping the usual fix Windows scams, I found what looks like a nice list of tools.

I hope that one of these can do the job, until devs find a way to use newer EXIF DLLs, like Gimp does.
