Re: data storage

I store the backups created on exit to an external hard drive. These
contain all of the data information needed to restore from a crash or to
move to a new computer. My media are all stored within the Base media
folder set within Gramps' Preference general tab. Once a week I make a copy
of this folder (with its various subfolders) to the same external hard
drive. These two actions would allow me to restore or move my files to a
new computer. If you are using an automated backup scheme on your hard
drive. knowing the folder of the automated backups and the media folder
should be enough for a restore.

FYI: my media folder, as of today, has 89 subfolders, 25,623 files at 61.2
GB. Needless to say, it is constantly growing.
