Re: Recording a legal name change

A person can have more than one name record. Go to the Names tab in the
person's edit window to add other names. For the Type, there is no ideal
option but you can type a new option right into the list. "Legal Name" is
what I use. You can add other custom entries in all Type fields. Just
understand that no custom entry will translate if this is an option you use.

The Name editor has other name options. You can add a Date, Note, and
Source/Citation to the name record.

In the Name list, you can drag-n-drop any name into the Preferred Name slot
(or right-click on the name).
