Re: Confusing filter result

It's not the filter that's the problem, rather the use of "before" and
"after". Check your Preferences to see what thresholds are defined.
Probably they are set to 50 years, such that anyone who was already more
than 50 years old at the time of the census, or who lived 50 years beyond
it, would not be selected.
