I do not experience this issue, Win10. But a Gramps upgrade as you describe would be advisable. There is a known data error on 5.1.4. I would recommend an upgrade to Gramps AIO 5.1.5-1_win64 https://github.com/gramps-project/gramps/releases/tag/v5.1.5 The known bug reverses the GPS coordinates for places when added as a comma separated pair.
