Thank you for your response.

Regarding the forum, some people are forum people, and, some people are 
mailing list people.

I am a mailing list person, and, avoid fora (?) like the plague. To me, 
to be required to use multiple fora, is simply prohibitively 
troublesome, and, makes trying to get support, prohibitive.

Regarding GRAMPS and BSD, whilst, in following the link for Download 
Gramps, (the link on the Download page), BSD is included, on the web 
page at https://www.gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=Download , 
on the web page that is the Download web page (linked from the home page 
on the web site), at https://gramps-project.org/blog/download/ , is
