I am using this Gramps version:
GRAMPS: 5.2.3
Python: 3.11.9
BSDDB: not found
sqlite: 3.42.0 (2.6.0)
LANG: en_GB.UTF-8
OS: Linux
Distribution: 6.4.0-150600.23.25-default
My language setting is English-UK, so that Gramps settings are all in
my preferred English language. (By the way, I am using a Germany
keyboard and, inside Gramps, it is sometimes necessary to record,
transcribed genealogical records, for example. in Germany. so my
entries in Gramps can be in different languages But that is beside the
point for this post, I believe).
I have noticed, however, for approximate date entries, Gramps is only
accepting German texts, but not English e.g.
'before 1900' is displayed red/bold, whereas 'vor 1900' is
black/unbold. The same for 'after YYYY' ('nach YYYY'), 'about YYYY'
('um 1850') etc. Where did I make this setting in Gramps?
Can anyone tell me where I can set the language to English for all such
entries?
Cheers
Harvey
