Re: Does "Gramps" have "Hints"?

It isn't so much a 'disclaimer' (like some warning that answers will be withheld). Instead, the inactivity of this list might give the wrong impression that Gramps development has slowed.  And the reverse is true.  The Discourse forum is very active with new information. For instance, Doug Blank, Nick Hall and David Straub are sharing some exciting discussions about changes that will lead to big improvements in filter performance of the 5.3 version. (And their changes will benefit Gramps Web too.)  

There is a huge cache of Gramps knowledge in this maillist's archives ... but people rarely think to search them.  However, as visitors type a question in Discourse, it suggests similar threads that might already have the answer.

The Discourse stans keep adding this disclaimer to their replies to 
questions asked on this list, but they also reliably reply here so...
