Hi WSC,

Appears to be possible in GMT5 (see attached file).

But I need do remove two starting ";" in seis_eng.cpt to avoid this message:
psscale: Error: Color palette table seis_eng.cpt has an overlap between
slices 9 and 10

And need to run psscale two times to avoid this message:
psscale: Syntax error -L option: Cannot be used with -B option.

I used the following commands:
gmt psscale -V -D3.3i/1.5i/6.6i/0.25ih -Cseis_eng.cpt
-B0:max=69.017075:/:gal: -S -N -K > scale1.ps
gmt psscale -V -D3.3i/1.5i/6.6i/0.25ih -Cseis_eng.cpt -L -S -N
--FORMAT_FLOAT_MAP=%g -O >> scale1.ps

Regards,

Marcelo
