Normally yes. That's what I meant when asked if you had used the 
installer (the ghostscript installer, not the GMT one)
As I said, on Win ps2raster finds ghostscript via registry, but one can 
use option -G to override. Don't know what will happen if you force 
usage of cygwin gs but nothing like trying.
