Juan, Sometimes the provider of multibeam data will also make available in a separate file the center navigation points. An example is JAMSTEC, that provides ascii xyz MB data as well as navigation files. One may grid the ascii xyz MB data onto a fine mesh grid, and then use grdtrack with the navigation lon, lat points to extract MB values from the grid at those points. If there are no navigation data, then you may try "creating" a central track with routine fitcircle, followed by grdtrack to extract MB depths along the created track.
