Hi WSC Have a look at pscontour or if your data are defined on a equi-distant grid possibly xyz2grd followed by grdimage and grdcontour. Also you may want to adjust your -D option to -D6.1i/... to have the colorbar plotted outside the plotaxes. \p On 04/22/2014 06:24 AM, wangshicheng305 wrote: > Hi all, > I have a data file that have three columns: the 1st column is > frequency, the second noise and the 3rd is the color value(with cpt > file) to fill the line , then i want to plot it with a seimic-log > system using psxy, however nothing happens. what`s the problem and > which command should i use if i used the wrong GMT command? > The following command is what i use: > psbasemap -R0.01/50/-200/-50 -JX6il/5i -Ba1f3p:"frequecy":/10:"":WS -K > -P -V>plot.ps > psxy BHNxyz.txt -R -J -B -Cpsdpdf.cpt -Gred -S1 -V -O -K >> plot.ps > psscale -D4.1i/2.55i/5.1i/0.25i -Cpsdpdf.cpt -I0.5 -O>> plot.ps > I attached the data file(BHNxyz.txt ) ,cpt file(psdpdf.cpt) and the ps > file that i plotted..' > Thanks, > wsc > 2014-04-22 > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > wangshicheng305 -- ******************************************************************************** Peter Schmidt Tel: +46-18-4717104 Swedish National Seismological Network (SNSN) Mobile: +46-73-3190975 Dept. of Earth Sciences:geophysics e-mail: [email protected] Uppsala University Villavagen 16 SE-75236 Uppsala ******************************************************************************** To unsubscribe, send the message "signoff gmt-help" to [email protected]
