Dear GMT Forum,
I was wondering if it is possible to use psxy in to plot a set of Y values along on an X-axis annotated/defined by a list of character strings as in the example input file <tst.dat> below. I have considered simply plotting the values on a linear scale ( -JX -R1/7/0./1) then editing the plot afterwards but am hoping for a more efficient solution.
<tst.dat>
"pOct" 0.34
"pNov" 0.38
"pDec" 0.42
"cJan" 0.33
"cApr" 0.45
"cMay" 0.41
"cJun" 0.39
Sincerely,
pjk
