OK, after some experiments I was lucky to guess the right syntax :-)
(actual hostname changed to xxx.yyy.zzz)

# nvidia-settings -q GPUs
2 GPUs on xxx.yyy.zzz:0
    [0] xxx.yyy.zzz:0[gpu:0] (GeForce 7600 GS)
    [1] xxx.yyy.zzz:0[gpu:1] (GeForce 7600 GS)

# nvidia-settings -q [gpu:0]/GPUCoreTemp
  Attribute 'GPUCoreTemp' (xxx.yyy.zzz:0[gpu:0]): 54.
    'GPUCoreTemp' is an integer attribute.
    'GPUCoreTemp' is a read-only attribute.
'GPUCoreTemp' can use the following target types: X Screen, GPU.

# nvidia-settings -q [gpu:1]/GPUCoreTemp
  Attribute 'GPUCoreTemp' (xxx.yyy.zzz:0[gpu:1]): 51.
    'GPUCoreTemp' is an integer attribute.
    'GPUCoreTemp' is a read-only attribute.
'GPUCoreTemp' can use the following target types: X Screen, GPU.

Hope this helps to get temperatures of whatever monster video systems we might
have, to old good nice GKrellm :-)

Harijs
