The server code pulls in ../src/sysdeps/linux.c which is where the changes
are and they should be automatic.  If it's not working it could be because the
udp connections don't last long enough.  The one second interval between
inet data reads might then only catch a connection by chance.
We'll have to rethink this if that's the problem...
