I don't use Autostart at all for GK. once i have configured and positioned 
GKrellM, I just leave it, and when i quite kde next time I start kde, GK just 
shows back up where it was and continues happily along.

I have found that if I 'double start' gk, it usually does not appear at all. 
unless you manually quit GK before shutting down kde, there is no need for 
placing it in Autostart.
