Strange problem with net builtin

Hi.

I have been a happy user of Gkrellm on Linux for years. Here at work, I
just got a new PC, and installed Ubuntu Desktop (8.04, I think) Desktop
64bit. Gkrellm seems to run fine with one exception. The builtin
monitor for eth0, instead of displaying an even graph of net traffic,
alternates between what appear to be twice the real kbytes/sec and 0
every other second. Just compiled version 2.3.2 directly from the
sources that was posted here a few days ago, and the behaviour has not
changed.

What can be wrong? If you need more information about my system I'll do
my best to send it to the list.

Regards,
Anders
